The gift of nature surrounds us when we sit still and wait…
At first I was disappointed we didn’t capture the full beauty of this field of sunflowers. A little earlier in the day - with full sun - these flowers would have been standing tall reaching for the rays of sun directly above in the sky. Rays that would nourish and bring out their true beauty.
But luckily, my disappointment turned into gratitude. Gratitude for a perfect reminder.
Just as they need the sun - we too need the Son.
Without Him, we are like sunflowers drooping. But, it’s up to us to seek Him and lift up our gaze… standing fully in His light… reaching for it…
so our souls can be nourished and our inner beauty can shine.
And just imagine what a beautiful field we can too create - gazing upward.
