The gift of nature surrounds us when we sit still and wait…
It started as an invitation for a weekend of soul-care. A time for women who have been gathering online over the past year to be with one another - in the physical presence of one another.
Seeking Him. And, He was there… His presence was…
in the sight of the beauty of the nature that surrounded us
in the taste of delicious meals prepared with loving hands
in the ears of listening hearts to one another’s stories
in the smell of a crackling fire that remained faithful throughout
in the touch of a comforting hug and hand held
in all our senses as we gathered on a porch to pause and worship Him and the bodies He has gifted us with - only He could script a shavasana with a soundtrack of His thunder and rain while “It Is Well” softly played.
His presence was palpable. Tears overflowed.
And yet with any weekend, it must come to an end. So with hearts bound together more tightly than before and hearts overflowing with love for one another, we said our good-byes. But we will gather again.
And in the meantime, in our own daily lives, we will prioritize our pauses of time alone or time with others seeking. For we have this beautiful reminder that when we pause and gather to seek Him, He is waiting to flood all our senses with His presence.
