Open
Open
Children remind us to take life one step at a time. Thoughts inspired by them…
Open....
..
As I love to do, I asked a few of my preschoolers, one-on-one, to tell me what the word Open means to them. The overwhelming response was this:
.
Open means...opening a door.
.
We’ve all heard the familiar saying...”When one door closes, another one opens.”
Sometimes, I’ve heard it joked that it might even be a window that opens. That always makes me a little more anxious as it conjures up a memory of crawling through a window when accidentally locked out. I’d much prefer the open door, if truth be told.
.
Throughout our lives, God opens doors for us. And even in our weakness, we are reminded by His word that it is a door “that no one can shut.” It is a door opened for us.
.
Revelation 3:8....”I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and not denied my name.”
.
Just as the scene in the picture above, the path ahead may not be clear. .
We may not be able to see around the bend. .
A door may not even be visible. .
But, this we know. A door will open. And the one who opens it for us is also on the other side of that door...there for us.
.
Are you open to the open doors in your life?
