Light...the word for today...

In the words of some little ones in my class... the word Light means...
.
“...the sun”. The sun indeed provides light to us...a light that is both bright and essential for life ...just as the Son provides that much needed light in our lives.
.
“...fire”. Fire which comes from a flame...even a flicker..provides a physical and spiritual light for our paths. And so, the flame of the Christ candle reminds us of God’s light being shared for us with the birth of his Son.

“...love”. The love of Christ...the light of Christ...intertwined so that you and I can share His love and light with one another, just as He wants.

Is it not surprising how these few meanings of Light, at their very basic...from the hearts of children, can be woven together to symbolize something far greater...than just simply defining a word? For the one who gives us Light has also given us life. ❤️
