Patience
Patience
Each fruit of the Spirit is a gift…unwrap and grow.
What’s at the end of the path? In this case, I know. It’s a familiar path that ends with the beauty of the ocean.
The path’s end is not always seen or known. Pretty much sums up many feelings felt and expressed these days. What’s ahead? Where’s the light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak? We’ve all had to cling a little tighter to faith and hope. And, remind ourselves of the daily need for patience.
Preschoolers are often reminded of the need for patience. If you ask a few in my classroom what patience means to them, you might hear this short and sweet answer.
“... you have to wait.”
Or, you might receive a great example of patience in a child’s world. “When somebody is getting water and you want water too, you have to wait.”
And, you might hear a simple explanation, but one that paints an image worth reflecting on. “... it is somebody sitting quietly.”
Lessons learned from the littlest. Let’s sit quietly.
“Be still and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10. Or, you could say “be patient and know that I am God.” What comfort and hope found from pausing to be patient.
Friend, let’s sit quietly in His presence, the paver of all our paths.
