Brave
Brave
Children remind us to take life one step at a time. Thoughts inspired by them…
Brave....
.
What images come to mind for you...when pondering the word Brave? From a few of my preschoolers who wanted to share, here are some thoughts...
.
Brave is “not being afraid” or even better “not being afraid of anything!” For example, “if you’re scared of a bear...be brave...don’t run away.” Because Brave is also “when someone comes to save you.”
.
We can rest easy in the assurance that there is indeed someone to save us. In fact, He has already come to save us.
.
It is good to be still...to rest...to reflect on this...all the while anchoring our soul with His presence.
.
And when we are ready to pull up anchor and venture again into the open waters, He can guide our rudder for the course. Traveling along, we can welcome the Holy Spirit to fill our sails for the journey.
.
And then...knowing we are saved...we are, in turn, brave.
